About the Role
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure commercial compliance with contract terms, securing full contractual entitlement.
Lead the commercial team to achieve or exceed financial targets.
Act as the subject matter expert on contractual arrangements, particularly the application of schedule of rates.
Maximise cash flow through timely and accurate monthly invoicing, effective resolution of client queries, and ensuring payments are received as due.
Provide regular commercial insight and performance analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Act as the main point of contact for dispute resolution and contractual queries.
Prepare and maintain accurate cash flow forecasts and revenue profiles.
Produce high-quality commercial reports, including Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), Cost Value Comparisons (CVCs), and management accounts.
Support the integration of IT systems to enhance productivity and financial control in line with contract requirements.
Lead the annual budget-setting process, undertaking reviews and updates as required.
Oversee supply chain performance, ensuring up-to-date term orders and contracts are in place, aligned to financial governance and service level agreements.
Essential Requirements
Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent professional qualification, or a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in a commercial construction or maintenance environment.
Proven experience in commercial contract management and financial reporting.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including use of Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and formula development).
Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
Demonstrable experience in team management or leadership within a commercial setting.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Requirements
Experience with management accounts or financial forecasting in a contracting environment.
Knowledge of commercial operations within social housing or facilities management sectors.
Familiarity with accounting principles and cost control methodologies.

Eligibility for annual performance-related bonus (up to 10% of basic salary).
