About the Role

Quantity Surveyor Key Responsibilities

  • Secure the company's full contractual entitlement and maximise project profitability.

  • Monitor costs, revenue, and budgets, and produce accurate financial forecasts.

  • Lead on subcontractor procurement, onboarding, and commercial management.

  • Work closely with project teams to provide contractual advice and support.

  • Manage client invoicing and promptly resolve any financial queries or disputes.

  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks early in the project lifecycle.

  • Support monthly reporting, cash flow management, and financial governance.

  • Uphold and promote company values and commercial best practices.


Quantity Surveyor - Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 5 GCSEs (grade C or above), A-levels, and an industry-related qualification.

  • Experience working on Social Housing Refurbishment projects.

  • Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g., JCT, NEC).

  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, formulas).

  • Commercial awareness and strong communication/negotiation skills.

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.


Desirable Criteria

  • Knowledge of Contract Law.

  • Professional or part-qualified accountancy or construction-related qualifications.

  • Experience with complex, multi-disciplinary contracts.

  • Familiarity with dispute resolution procedures.
