Operations Director - Social Housing Repairs & Maintenance
£120-130k plus car allowance, bonus and benefits package
We are working with a leading Social Housing Contractor to recruit an Operations Director to join their buisness based in Bedfordshire. Working in partnership with public sector clients, the Operations Director will assume overall responsibility for the successful delivery of a portfolio of contracts including reactive maintenance, voids, and planned works.
We are looking for a Senior Manager or Director with experience leading a multi-million pound division, or business. Ideally, we are looking for somebody with experience within the Social Housing sector, but would also consider candidates out of sector who have experience managing a large, directly employed workforce of multi-disciplined staff and supply chain, with a proven track record in stakeholder management, developing collaborative relationships and achieving strategic growth.
Operations Director Essential Experience:
- Experienced Senior Manager or Director with a proven track record delivering growth of large multi-million contracts within a service delivery environment for a public sector client
- Experience of change management particularly in relation to cultural change and process re-engineering
- Experience of working at a strategic level, developing and implementing continuous improvement
- Experience of managing mobile and / or TUPE transferred workforces
- Commercial acumen
- Ability to set and measure targets
- Strong IT skills
- Strong management skills and the ability to motivate a team at all levels
- Ability to be innovative and creative to resolve complex issues
- Knowledge of social housing, building maintenance market (desirable)
- Understanding of strategic and operational processes within social housing property services contracts (desirable)
