Salary: £38,000 + Company Van & Fuel Card

Role Summary

We are working with a well-established social housing contractor who is looking to recruit an experienced Multi Trader to join their reactive maintenance team. This is a permanent position carrying out day-to-day repairs and maintenance within occupied social housing properties across Watford, Luton, Bedford, Cambridge and Welwyn Garden City.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled operative who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and enjoys working in a varied, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out a range of reactive maintenance and repair works within occupied social housing properties.
  • Complete multi-trade repairs including basic carpentry, plumbing, tiling, patch plastering and decorating where required.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out first-time fixes whenever possible.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Provide excellent customer service when working in tenants' homes.
  • Accurately complete job records using a PDA or mobile device.
  • Maintain company van stock and ensure tools and equipment are kept in good condition.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working as a Multi Trader within social housing or domestic reactive maintenance.
  • Competent across a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, tiling and general repairs.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Willingness to travel across Watford, Luton, Bedford, Cambridge and Welwyn Garden City.
