Fleet Safety Manager
45k (12 month fixed term contract)
Finsbury Park based
We are currently looking for a Fleet Safety Manager to join a main contractor operating within the Social Housing sector. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of fleet operations and contribute to safer, more efficient practices within a business.
About the Role:
The Fleet Safety Manager will play a key role in improving fleet behaviours, monitoring performance, coordinating vehicle servicing, managing driver awareness and training, and leading initiatives to reduce speeding and risk.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily fleet operations and support the wider fleet team.
Deliver engaging toolbox talks and promote driver safety initiatives.
Coordinate vehicle MOTs, servicing, inspections, and maintenance schedules.
Manage driver incentive schemes and lead training/coaching sessions.
Perform weekly checks and analyse data from business systems to track performance.
Support the development and implementation of a strategic fleet plan.
Serve as the main point of contact for employees throughout the vehicle lifecycle.
Manage supplier relationships and ensure effective use of external expertise.
Review and update fleet-related policies, rules, and procedures.
Monitor fleet KPIs and report performance against targets with a focus on continuous improvement.

Key Skills and Experience:
Proven management experience in a fleet, logistics, or operational environment.
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
High attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience in managing vehicle compliance, training programmes, and supplier relationships.
Familiarity with fleet data systems and performance reporting.
