Job: Electrician - Responsive Repairs & Maintenance

Location: Stratford-upon-Avon and surrounding

Salary: £37,440 + van and fuel card

We are currently recruiting for a permanent Electrician to join a responsive repairs and maintenance team working across a portfolio of social housing properties in Stratford-upon-Avon and the surrounding areas.

The role involves travelling between properties, so a full UK driving licence is essential. You will be responsible for carrying out a range of electrical repairs, maintenance and testing works, ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
On-Call: Approximately 1 week in every 5-6 weeks, with additional payment provided

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive electrical repairs and maintenance across social housing properties.
• Complete work efficiently and aim to resolve issues on the first visit wherever possible.
• Install, maintain, repair, inspect and test electrical systems and equipment in accordance with current IET Wiring Regulations.
• Complete electrical installation work and accurately produce the required electrical certificates and reports.
• Undertake EICRs and any associated remedial works.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests in line with the required specifications and timescales.
• Identify when additional trades are required and communicate this to the relevant supervisor.
• Work collaboratively with other trades and operatives where required to complete repairs and projects.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
• Provide a professional and customer-focused service to residents and clients.
• Work independently while maintaining appropriate health, safety and quality standards.

Essential Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification (2356) with AM2 or an equivalent recognised electrical qualification pathway.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certificate.
• Full UK driving licence, with fewer than 6 points and no recent driving bans.
• Ability to successfully complete a Basic DBS check.
• Relevant experience within electrical repairs, maintenance and testing.

Desirable Qualifications

• Unvented Hot Water Certificate.
• Water Regulations Certificate.
• Part P qualification.
• JIB Health & Safety Test / current JIB card.
• 2391 Testing & Inspection or equivalent.
• C&G 2377 PAT Testing qualification.
