About the Role
Role: Bid Coordinator/Writer (Construction)
Location: South East London, Hybrid working available
Salary, up to £60k plus car allowance, bonus & other benefits
Due to a strong 2026 pipeline, we are looking to for a Bid Coordinator/Writer who is ready to take on a pivotal role delivering high-quality, visually engaging bids across our growing pipeline of new-build construction tenders; ideally with a background in the Education sector.
About the Role
You'll be part of a small yet dynamic pre-construction team, supporting the full bid lifecycle from early engagement through to tender submission and client presentations. You'll support the Pre-Construction Team and collaborate with design, commercial, and operational leads to develop compelling, compliant, and high-impact submissions.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Managing PQQs and supporting tender submissions.
- Writing and editing bid content - ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with client requirements.
- Creating and maintaining eye-catching templates and layouts using your design and formatting skills.
- Preparing CVs, project case studies, and organisational charts.
- Managing bid portals, tracking clarifications, and ensuring compliance.
- Coordinating launch documents and supporting bid programme planning.
- Leading bid library management, ensuring content is up to date and accessible.
- Undertaking client and market research to inform win themes and tailored responses.
About You
You'll be tenacious and bring energy, creativity, and precision to every submission. You take pride in producing documents that stand out - visually and technically.
I'm looking for someone who:
- Has experience working on construction related tenders. Education is key, but also Residential, Healthcare and Commercial Fit-Out - ideally within main contracting or a design & build environments.
- Understands the basics of procurement, commercial, design, and operational drivers behind tenders.
- Has experience with two-stage and single-stage procurement routes.
- Demonstrates strong writing, layout, and presentation skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Is highly organised, tenacious, and self-motivated, with a perfectionist's eye for quality.
- Has experience with framework submissions and understands client evaluation processes.
Desirable Skills
- Bid Writing, Coordinating, Managing
- Template design proficiency. Adobe InDesign, Canva etc
- Self-sufficient and detailed driven
- Experience managing bid content libraries
